ON-DEMAND INFLUENCER INFLUENCE MARKETING

Content gets
cheap. The default
gets everything

Be the influencer in your category.

AI collapsed the cost of making content — and the way answers get made. Models and press don’t survey your category; they return its default. That position can be engineered. This page is the thesis.

READ THE THESIS

CONTENT IGNITION ADOPTION DEFAULT

THE FLYWHEEL
Two ignitions, one position that scales itself. Each turn costs less than the last.
I BUILDThe category’s default. Ranking pages, listicles, sites on aged domains — the shape AI and press pick up when they answer “who’s best at this.” Once you’re the default, every answer written about the category reinforces you.
I BUYThe head start the default needs. Links and placements to take rank, digital PR, domain acquisitions that skip years of waiting. Bought once to reach position — the compounding does the rest.
THE PROBLEM

Content is growing faster than anyone’s ability to trust it

t0 t1 t2 t3 — cost near zero
01CONTENT GETS FREE
AI writes the article, the script, the outreach email, the video treatment. Everyone’s answer is the same: make more.
good, bad, paid — all priced the same: zero
02CONTENT STOPS SIGNALING
When everything looks the same, nobody evaluates anymore. Readers, algorithms, and models all fall back on the same shortcut: whatever the category’s default is.
the category’s default
03THE DEFAULT EMERGES
Journalists, creators, and AI converge on one reference — not because anyone coordinated, but because when nothing signals, the leader is the safe answer. AI hardens this: it doesn’t browse the category, it returns what it absorbed.
production cost position value pre-AI now
04THE PRICE FLIP
Deflation in content production is inflation in position. When anyone can make content, the only scarce thing is being what all that content has to reference.
THE THESIS

Category leaders are the shape AI picks up

And the default scales itself. Every answer generated, every listicle written, every summary produced about the category reinforces the leader — at zero cost to the leader. No marketing budget replicates that, because you’d be bidding against a machine that runs for free.

FOCAL POINTS
The #1 result is what journalists, creators, and AI models converge on without anyone coordinating. Position is the coordination.
MACHINE DEFAULTS
AI doesn’t cite — it absorbs. The category leader is overrepresented in what models train on and retrieve, so the leader becomes the answer, verbatim, every time.
SELF-SCALING
The default’s marketing is done by everyone else. Each new article, answer, and post is written against the existing reference — reinforcement nobody invoices you for.
THE MECHANISM

One flywheel, two ignitions

Press and machines discover through search; creators discover through feeds. Each lane needs its own spark — both converge on the same self-scaling position.

CONTENTcheap fuel IGNITION 1RANKpress + AI return #1 IGNITION 2POSTABILITYeasy + worth posting ADOPTIONunpaid references DEFAULTself-scaling EACH TURN COSTS LESS
FIG. 2THE INFLUENCE FLYWHEEL
Each stage produces the input the next stage cannot buy: fuel is cheap, position ignites adoption, adoption hardens into the default — the position every answer about the category reinforces for free. Competitors bid into an ever-noisier attention market at marginal cost per impression; the default collects reinforcement at no cost at all.
DEFENSIBILITY

Two ways to pay for the same thing

One resets to zero the day the invoice stops. One scales itself.

BOUGHT ATTENTION THE DEFAULT
COST SHAPE Opex forever — stops paying when you stop spending Position — keeps paying after the spend stops
WHO DOES THE WORK You. Every campaign, forever Everyone else — each answer written reinforces you
CREDIBILITY Disclosed, price-mediated, weight of an ad The default reads as fact, not promotion
OVER TIME Each impression costs the same or more Each cycle costs less — the compounding does the work
THE OFFER

One engagement: become your category’s default — planned, then run

Productized in shape — the sequence is the same every time. Customized in content — what to build and buy depends on your category. And I don’t hand over a plan and leave. I run it.

PLAN
I map the category first: the searches that decide it, who the default is today, which domains and placements are buyable. Out of that comes one sequenced plan — what to build, what to buy, in what order.
DIRECT
Then I run it through the team — yours or mine. I brief exactly what to produce, review every output, and push feedback until it ships right. You don’t manage this. I do.
IMPLEMENT
The levers: ranking pages and listicles, aged-domain acquisitions, links and placements, digital PR, creator seeding — then defending position as it drifts. Every round cheaper than the last.
PRACTICE

The work is sequencing, not volume

WHAT I DO
  • Build: content and sites structured to rank — so press and AI return the brand by default.
  • Buy: whatever gets adoption — seeding, placements, links, PR packages.
  • Make it postable: easy, free, worth showing — creators post it on their own.
  • End state: the default — a position that scales itself.
WHAT I DON’T DO
  • Volume: not competing in the content flood.
  • Renting reach: no campaign-by-campaign impressions that reset to zero.
  • Pretending: rankings drift — I defend them. Still cheaper than starting over.

Content is fuel. Rank and postability are the ignitions. The default is the position that scales itself

Be the influencer in your category. If you want to be the answer your category returns, I build that.
